Thank you for visiting the Blisworth Festival site.
What an amazing festival we have for you this year!
Saturday 10th – Sunday 11th August 2019
FREE PARKING – FREE ENTRY – FREE MOORING
To avoid road closures (and temporary traffic lights) the best way to get to the festival is from the A 43 (M1 J15a) here’s a helpful map.
The postcode is NN7 3BL but don’t trust your satnav if it tries to take you through the village (you’ll probably regret it).
***The festival IS still going ahead***
A number of people have asked if the festival is still going ahead tomorrow due to high winds.
The directors are have taken steps to ensure the safety of festival goers and we can confirm that the festival is still going ahead.
There will be a reduced number of traders in the open festival field and a slightly smaller stage but still LOADS of great attractions including:
Classic cars, military vehicles, food, live music, craft marquee, canal traders, dancers, book signing, funfair (but likely to be without the inflatables on Saturday) Dog shows and LOADS MORE!!!
Blisworth House, the Canal side, Village Hall, The Royal Oak, Chapel, The Baptist Church, will remain mostly unaffected and the Sunday will be back to normal as the high winds will subside by then.
This decision has been made with your safety in mind and we look forward to seeing you enjoying the rest of the festival.
Originally conceived in 2010 as a boat festival along the Grand Union Canal, the Blisworth Canal Festival was embraced by visitors and villagers alike to become a major annual event in South Northamptonshire.
Retaining its focus along the waterfront, the Blisworth Festival now covers several official nearby sites in the village centre and aims to provide something for everyone, young and old, boater and non-boater alike.
Proceeds from the Festival go towards maintaining the canal and its environs within the parish of Blisworth as well as supporting many local organisations and national charities.
Blisworth Festival remains free to enter, with ample free parking.
